What to watch between meetings

Inflation trend

Read CPI and related price measures as a sequence, including revisions and composition—not one headline number.

Employment balance

Combine payroll growth, unemployment, wage measures, and revisions rather than treating one release as decisive.

Rates and the curve

Compare the policy rate, Treasury yields, and curve shape to see how financial conditions are transmitting.
